Midge Sub Bass Posts: 95 Honor: Isnt a tad bit amazing that we can make full tracks mix and master them and release from one single computer. Here is a link that will link you to multiple youtube videos that deal with the issue you are experiencing. Could you maybe upload a audio recording of what's happening, or even better a screencast of specifically what happens? I have had this happen to me in the past.Īt the top towards the middle it will say "cpu" when you play your track does the number next to "cpu" skyrocket from say 10 to 80? If so the program is overloading your cpu and there are other programs in the background clogging up your cpu preventing FL Studio's from running smoothly. Turning it up will be safer quality-wise but will increase latency as well which isn't good for playing synths and stuff.

What audio drivers are you using? ASIO drivers are recommended. Any of you guys run across this problem too? Or have any fixes? Are you using an audio interface? Ctcf50 filter This is a fairly annoying issue and I've absolutely no clue what to do, it's really pissing me off. That's the only way the crackling stops UNTIL I load up another plugin including effects, even stock plugins or drag out a sample, then it starts again and I have to go through the whole process.

I noticed it the other day when I loaded up an instance of Reaktor and any sort of sound played, even triggered samples would begin to crackle. The same happens when I load ANY plugin or drag a sample. Whenever I load up FL Studio, any sound played starts to crackle. Hey guys, just ran into a fairly unusual issue recently. Please check out our Supporter Upgrade and consider coming aboard! Member since: May. I imagine there are other threads with a name similar to this in the past 2 years. Yeah I know I'm late and this thread is dead and all but I just wanna say that I prevent the popping and clicking by exporting all my tracks to wavs and then making a new FL project using the wavs in audio clips But isn't already a thread dedicated to FL? Can often have 4ms latency on even complicated mixes provided you have a decent processor alsowhich really helps when recording from live sources like guitars and voice. The disadvantage of increasing the buffer time is that it increases the lag when tweaking knobs and faders etc, but experiment until you get a good ballance.

Increase it if you're still getting crackling. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in May!īasically, the buffer length needs to be increased which allows FL more time to process the mix when streaming it back. We need 63 people to reach our goal of 3, active supporters. This allows you to use the highest quality interpolation when rendering independent of the live setting. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters.įor the month of April we have disabled ads on all E-M content. As noted above, a separate interpolation setting has been provided for the render dialog. The options are the same for both locations, they are. The other interpolation setting is found on the export dialog and affects audio file quality and render time. There are two independent locations where interpolation method can be set. Sometimes however, clicks and pops are caused by plugins behaving badly. Underruns are a live-playback problem, they don't happen in rendered audio as your CPU can take as long as required to generate the sound.

Notice the list is sorted by driver type. Usually identified by the word 'ASIO' in the name. The audio interface 'driver' is a program that connects Windows and therefore FL Studio to your audio interface.
#FL STUDIO ASIO UNDERRUNS SOFTWARE#
Primary Sound Driver drivers place a layer of 'middle-man' software handling communications between the audio application FL Studio for example and the audio interface hardware while ASIO drivers allow direct communication between the audio application and the audio interface. Audio Interface Driver: The driver is the software interface between the Windows operating system and the audio interface hardware. The term Audio Interface is better used.Īn audio interface is any device that makes the sound you hear from your PC speakers. If this is your first time to adjust the Audio Settings you may like to view the audio setup pages from the 'Getting Started' section. The settings chosen here can have a big impact on CPU loadso it is worth taking the time to learn what options are available. The Audio Settings page contains options and settings for your audio interface.
